The Great Gingerbread Escape

You rub your hands together. "Alright, cookies—if you want to go to the North Pole, you'll need a sleigh!" The gingerbread crowd cheers. "A sleigh! A sleigh!" You gather supplies from around the house: a tissue box, some candy canes, silver ribbon, and two toy reindeer from the decorations bin. You set to work, glue and glitter flying. Soon, you have the perfect gingerbread-sized sleigh, sparkling under the twinkle lights. The cookies crowd around, eyes wide. "It's beautiful!" says the gumdrop leader. "Do we get in now?" asks the one with the spoon. You nod. "All aboard the Cookie Cruiser!" They climb in, giggling and waving. You push the sleigh gently toward the open window where snowflakes swirl outside. "Thank you, Oven Master!" one shouts. "We'll bring back stories from the North Pole!" another calls. You watch as the toy reindeer's antlers glow faintly—then, with a jingle and a flash of sparkly sugar dust, the sleigh lifts off the counter, gliding into the snowy night. You press your face to the window, watching the glittery trail disappear into the stars. Somewhere out there, a group of gingerbread friends is headed north on a candy sleigh built with kindness and Christmas magic. You smile. "Merry Christmas, little travelers."
