The Emerald Crown

You shake your head. "This is too risky," you say. "The Crown belongs to Iredale alone. What if the transmitter drains too much of the good luck." You take the Emerald Crown and leave without the transmitter. When the Crown is returned to the Ancient Hill, luck floods back into the land. The sky brightens. The bell beneath the earth falls silent. But deep below, the caves remain unchanged. The gnomes return to their work in silence, their crystals dim. Iredale is whole again—but something has been missed. A chance to grow. A chance to share. Luck returns—but narrowly. You feel an emptiness that was not there before meeting the gnomes. You are left wondering what might have happened if you had chosen differently. The End.
