It's Friendship Week, and your town is buzzing with excitement. Colorful banners flap in the breeze, music plays from every corner, and the annual Friendship Carnival has finally arrived!
You race past booths with your friends. You play Bingo, toss rings on bottles, and share fluffy pink cotton candy that sticks to your fingers.
"This is the best day ever!" someone cheers.
When you spot the Mirror Maze, its shiny walls twisting and flipping reflections upside down, you laugh.
"Let's go in!" you say.
Inside the maze, nothing makes sense. The floor looks like the ceiling. Your feet seem to float above your head. One mirror stretches your arms like noodles while another flips you completely upside down.
Your laugh echoes--but it sounds slower... deeper... backwards. Suddenly, one mirror ripples like water. The mirrors spin, the lights blur, and gravity feels like it forgot which way is down. It feels like it is sucking you in.
