It's the best day of school in February: Valentine's Day. The room smells like sugar and paper hearts. On the front table, the masterpiece: a huge silver platter holding exactly twenty-four Perfect Valentine Cupcakes. Each one is topped with swirly pink and red frosting and a tiny, edible sugar heart. The class is buzzing with excitement and anticipation. Ms. Lily smiles. "Alright, students! It's time for recess. When you come back, it's time for our class party!" You run outside and spend the whole twenty minutes playing tag and discussing the Valentine's Day party. When the bell rings, you race back into the warm classroom, excited for the party to begin.
